Quality Awards

Via can support and mentor you through the award process to help your centre achieve RoQA status.

The Recognition of Quality Awards (RoQA) are ‘kite marks’ that are awarded to centres who can demonstrate that their
management and procedures meet certain principles and criteria.

RoQA Awards are a means of supporting centres to review the quality of the learning opportunities provided for young people and promoting ongoing development. An award granted lasts for three years.

The awards include:

• Off-Site Learning Award – OSLA
• Work Experience Award – WEXA
• Work-related Learning Award for Businesses – WRLAB
• Work-related Learning and Enterprise Education Award -WRLEE
• Primary Enterprise Learning Award– PELA (coming soon)

To achieve the Diploma in Career Education you are required to complete 60 credit points overall, 40 compulsory and 20
optional from various modules. Three or four modules (dependent upon individual module credit rating) are required to achieve the 60 credit points.

Our support offer:

• The Mentor will assess support requirements including any additional meetings and the Self-Assessment Form
is completed and evidence is prepared e.g. Portfolio, e-Portfolio, etc

• The Mentor will make a recommendation when the Centre is ready for formal assessment

• Centres will then undergo the moderation process which will be completed by an external assessor

• Upon completion, centres will be invited to an Awards Evening to celebrate success and theachievement of the RoQA award
